We try to form our new connections
Socialising through our own reflection
Our social media results in us defected
All that remains is – us – getting disconnected.

Trying to broadcast our own reality
Conversations have devolved into criticality
As questions have been erased and replaced
To self seeking confirmation we are acting in good taste.

I reminisce the days where phones aided friends to plan
Meet ups were regularity and advice was requested from wise men
I long to leave the screen addiction behind
To scavenge for all real life experiences I can find

It is time to be free
And rise from this social debris.
